The ED450-2 is a two-element folded dipole antenna designed for fixed-site UHF and LMR systems operating from 406 to 512 MHz. It provides 5 dBd gain, a 106 MHz bandwidth, and a V.S.W.R. below 1.5:1. Folded dipole antennas can be installed to provide omnidirectional or directional coverage based on the configuration and mounting location.
Two black-anodized radiating elements are supported by an integrated heavy-wall aluminum mast with an epoxy powder-coated finish. The feed-line harness is contained inside the mast for environmental protection. The antenna measures 60 in (1.52 m) high by 22 in (559 mm) wide and terminates with a standard N-male connector.
The ED450-2 weighs approximately 9 lb (4.08 kg) and is rated for wind speeds up to 150 mph (241 km/h). Tower standoffs, BSLMNT2 brackets, and other site-mounting hardware are sold separately.
